this is my view from my car when I drive to Iowa
I just blogged over on the Perfect Shutter website about how I’ll be spending my vacation this year in Iowa.
I think it’s pretty funny to explain to someone that you’ll be going away to Iowa for your vacation. Most people expect you go to go Europe, Mexico, Australia, or some other exotic locale.
But not this guy 
It’ll actually be my 2nd straight summer vacation in Iowa. My beautiful and awesome girlfriend, who I met while I actually lived in Iowa for two years, is still working in Iowa City for the next couple months. So that explains my desire to vacation there.
It really isn’t a bad place though. The streets are clean and pot-hole free. The fast food restaurants don’t have bullet proof windows separating the cashier from you, like it is here in Detroit. And the air just feels a bit cleaner and less polluted, save for the occasional smell of manure and farm fertilizer!
